Last Day at Paradise Hills Nursery School

Yeah.  This has been a long and emotional day.  After the pancake fiasco, I brought Asher to school for his last day at 'camp'.

Sully and I headed back about 40 minutes later to volunteer with a handful of other parents for the easter egg hunt.  When I got there, I saw that Asher's teachers had switched up the schedule to make him the line leader for the day, so that he wouldn't miss his last turn.  They had also printed a picture of his big goofy face and put it on the wall about 2 1/2 feet up so that 'all his friends can say hi to him every day!'.  Yep.  Nose was tingling...tears were almost coming... but then the egg hunt started.  And that was hilarious.

Imagine letting 13 puppies out into a fenced in area that is littered with treats.  Only they are puppies and haven't seen treats before, so they don't know what they are and don't really care.  But then one little puppy figures it out and starts eating them, which the other puppies notice right away, and soon you have a frenzy of puppies galloping all over the place, falling down, tripping over their big puppy feet, running into each other, frantically getting as many treats as they can.  That is what an easter egg hunt with 2 and 3 year olds looks like.  And it was exactly what I needed right in that moment.

Line leader Asher with Ms. Stacy.

Good boy Asher.
