The Family Band.

Hanging out in WBL listening to Dawn perform with The Family Band.
The boys loved the venue.

Asher Hosts His Favorite Teacher

Asher invited his favorite teacher over to our house for dinner.  I happen to also really love Melissa- she is one of my beer yoga buddies- so it worked out well.  And Scott, Melissa's husband, is a home brewing, woodworking, engineer... so he and Ben had a good time too (...come to think of it, we should probably introduce Scott to Caleb as well).

Asher requested that for Melissa's visit, we make tacos and go to Izzy's.  Before her arrival, Asher set the table, requested candles, and drew pictures for each place setting.  He also decided where everyone was going to sit (and put himself squarely between Melissa and her husband).

Walking to Izzy's after a rainstorm and tacos.

Back Bend Lessons

From inside the classroom I was able to spy on Stephen teaching the boys how to do back bends.  It was pretty hilarious.

Face Paint Time

Ben came home to Asher and I glitterizing our family room.  He was super happy.

And what could go wrong with letting a 3-year old paint your face with a black crayon?  That seems totally reasonable.  He drew a "long neck" (brontosaurus) on my head.

Ben: "Oooooh goodness.  Look at all that glitter."

Butterfly Garden

Payson & Asher spent an afternoon at Como-- and got to get right up close to beautiful butterflies.

Asher making sure Payson didn't touch the butterfly... I wonder who his mom is.

Then there was this guy.  Our picnic ant.

Asher

When Asher requests to be in children's theater, no one will be surprised.

Snuggly Sullivan

Sully has had an extremely snuggly night.
It has been a great, great evening.

Saints Game with Dad & Jo

We went to our first Saints game at the new stadium... it was ah-mazing.

Look out Canada, here we come!

Sully & I go to Winnipeg in September, so it was time to get passports.  Ash got one too.

I wish these could be their passport photos for their whole lives.

The Millers Visit Minnesota

Asher & Payson were reunited last week when the Millers made the trip up from Albuquerque and visited Minnesota.  It was largely a recruiting trip, so we covered a lot of ground.

It was a great visit and we miss our friends already.
