"There is a Baby Dinosaur in my Plant!"

We went to IKEA Saturday morning and Asher (of course) found a plant he loved and wanted to bring home for his bedroom; a 99 cent succulent.  He sat in the cart holding it, and then started babbling to everyone who walked by, "There is a baby dinosaur in my plant!  His name is Pumpkin!"

Turns out, there was actually a baby lizard in his plant.   Ben pointed out that it could be an invasive species that could take down the Saint Paul ecosystem, or poisonous and could kill us all in our sleep.  I pointed out that he was adorable.  Asher pointed out that his name was Pumpkin.   So we kept him.

$150 later.... Pumpkin has a new home.   While we were strictly forbidden from bringing in native plants and crap from our backyard, the pet store guy did okay us putting his succulent in the tank (which is good, because it is like his anemone).

Baby Pumpkin.  Barely bigger than the fruit flies he is supposed to eat.

Asher put his picture behind the cage... he is the most adorable pet owner.

I woke up this morning to Asher telling me excitedly, "Pumpkin slept great and he smiled at me twice!"

Sometimes Saturdays are the Best Days.

We hung out with Fritz and Liv for most of the day today, and had a super fun time with lots of adventures.  And face paint.

Walking adventure, taking a break to say hi to the neighborhood chickens.

Smelling herbs.

Walking to Izzy's - quite the crew.

Heading to Como.  Liv spent the day holding my phone (which she figured out how to unlock in less than 1 minute), wearing my purse, borrowing my clothes, and blowing a whistle while telling the boys what to do.  She also said please and thank you more times than I could count.  I am always surrounded by boys, which, don't get me wrong, I love, but it was a treat to get to spend the day with such an amazing young lady.

....so hard to take him seriously with that damn spider web on this face...

Snack break!

Super sleepy Fritzy.  Ice cream and zoos and rides are hard.

4th of July!

The Littlest Gang.

Sully's nap spot at the lake.

So much fun with buddies.

It wouldn't be patriots day without a drone.  Right?

Blowing bubbles through a straw... and drinking some lake water in the process.

...someone stole Asher's swim suit after his nap...

Quite possibly the cutest pregnant lady ever...

Tubing in the boat parade... with a flag.

Mini Donkeys. That's all.

Sometimes you just need a crown of flowers and mini donkeys to get regrounded.
Mankato is my happy place.

Ash bossing Grandpa around with landscaping work.
He carried the flowers (of course) and would look at Dad and say, "Dig".

...and then we went to a magical farm...

In love.  So in love.  Mini donkeys are a thing.

Couldn't care less about alpacas and mini donkeys... can we do a maternity test on this one?

This one on the other hand, is definitely mine.

...want...to boop...those ears....

George the alpaca whisperer.

So many Ferdinands...
