Week 5

Ben left today for New Mexico to try to find us a house.  This is the first time that I've been "alone" with Asher, and so far we are doing just fine (but of course we miss Ben).  He is currently snoozing (picture below) right next to me while I write.   Here are some pictures from the last week.

Sleeping on dad

Grandpa and Grandma Olson came down to visit us on Friday!!

This week we introduced Asher to the pacifier...yep, he loves it.

1 Month

Yesterday was Asher's one month birthday!

I took this picture because of how awesome Asher's morning lion mane looked in the light.  He is definitely going to have his dads koosh ball hair :)

Mid-morning family nap-- being one month old is a lot of work! (For all of us!)

Sweet Boy

It's a snowy Sunday here in Iowa City.  Here are some pictures from our weekend of hibernation.

Harlan is still a very spoiled, babied dog.

Is there anything cuter than tiny toes?

Yes...this is cuter than tiny toes...

Perfect.

No one Asher, no one is cuter than you :)

Family nap time-- Asher in his crib and Harlan on the bed.

The Fun Continues....

Asher is getting very good at tummy time, he can lift his head and chest up and turn from side to side :)

Me as a newborn (I cannot get this picture to rotate-- sorry!)

This picture is on here solely for all of the arm rolls (you have to look closely)

Wow.  How much does he look like Ben here???

Mini Ben.

Great Grandma Bette was here yesterday and this morning!

Happy (and totally passed out) in his GG's arms

Ben as a newborn -- how much does Asher look like his daddy!

Grandma and Asher-- look at his adorable scrunched up face

Well hello bright eyes!

Week 4

Things this week have been fairly consistent in Asher's world this week: sleep, eat, poop, wiggle, make funny faces.  It's not a bad life he has, and it's not a bad life for Ben and I getting to watch him grow.  While he isn't engaging a whole lot (he still sleeps 16-18 hours a day), when he is awake and alert he recognizes our voices, will turn his head to follow pictures and sounds, and is becoming an expert at tummy time (he is so strong for such a small peanut!).  Here are some pictures from the week so far.

Sleep sounding on me.

Hello!

Bigger hello!

If there was an award for fattest baby wrists, Asher would win.

This is maybe my favorite picture so far...

Grandma and Grandpa Leasck came to visit yesterday!

First Air Jordans from Auntie Mallory!

Asher's baby blanket from Grandma Dot :)
