The Polar Express

We rode the Polar Express (all the way to the North Pole!) with the Miller family this weekend and it was an incredible experience.  They read the story, gave us hot chocolate and cookies, and took us all the way to the North Pole to see Santa, the reindeer, and his elves.  The kids loved it, and so did we.   Sullivan slept the entire time- through the singing of Christmas carols, the screaming of "Hey Santa!", and the jingling of silver bells.  It was a win.

The train station.

All jammied up with nowhere to go.

The Millers.

We have been telling Asher for months that he gets to ride the train with Payson, for the last week he hasn't been able to keep quiet about it (telling strangers in the grocery store, baristas, anyone who will listen)... the anticipation of being AT the train station but STILL not being able to be on the train was almost too much for him.

Choo choo!  Hearing the whistle but not seeing the train...

Awestruck.

There it is!  There it is!!!

Eeeeeeeeeee!!!!

The conductor checking tickets.

All the way to the North Pole!  There's Santa!

Starting to get just a liiiiittle bit sleepy.

Santa came on the train!
