Sully Sicknesses

Sully is following in his brother's footsteps of having a very rough entry into cold and flu season right under 1 year old.  He had his ear surgery a couple of years ago, got hand foot and mouth two days later which resulted in an ambulance ride to the ER, and then came down with a cold that has lingered for a good 3 weeks (and caused us to cancel his flu shot last week).  Poor guy.  But in the mean time, he has started walking, feeding himself with a spoon, and tackling Asher.  So I guess he is doing okay.

Hanging out after surgery.

Hanging out in the ER.  Sullivan woke up about an hour into being asleep and started puking-- still within the window of what could have been an anaphylactic reaction from something at dinner.  Rather than wait for additional symptoms, we called 911 so that back up would be on the way in the event he was having a serious reaction (...funny how just weeks after your child experiences life-threatening anaphylaxis, you aren't willing to take any chances).  By the time the firemen and EMTs arrived (which was in less than 2 minutes) he was fighting sleep and seemed to have stopped puking.  But they were great, and said we should still go to the ER (by ambulance) for observation just to be sure.  By the time we got to Children's we were pretty certain it wasn't anaphylaxis, but Sullivan had a fever of nearly 104 so we hung out for a bit anyways.  Never a dull moment...  (and yes, I am wearing scrubs because I was covered head to toe in baby vomit, the crew at Children's St. Paul once again treated us so unbelievably well).

Sick, sad 'kind of' sleeping.

Little guy built himself a nest and passed out.

What sick Sully's look like.

What sick moms look like when they kid the HFM/cold their children have.  Funny how when you get puked on, coughed on, and slept on for days straight you eventually get sick yourself.
