You know have a soulmate when...

You know you have a soulmate when:

I sent this picture of my lunch and got "Wait until you see what I just dished up..." as a response.

My lunch....

...1,389.1 miles away, this is happening at the same time.

Let's eat our lunches together next time :)

The 2015 Cold/Flu Season Begins

7 weeks ago if Asher had come down with a cold I would have been upset.  Partly because I have actual borderline clinical PTSD over Asher's year of being unwell, but partly because a 2 1/2 year old with a cold would have been the worst thing possible in our house.  But perspective is everything.  And today, it turns out, a 2 1/2 year old with a cold is not the worst thing... a 6 week old with a cold is the worst thing.  Yep.  Poor Sullivan James experienced his first 24 hours of illness yesterday.  Luckily he kicked it almost as quickly as it came, but it made for a very sad and distressing day.

Mommy, go away, I don't feel good.

Just kidding come back!  All I want to do is sleep on you.

Saddest sick eyes ever.

After five sleepless, weeping hours he settled down and was able to rest.  We didn't ever 'unstick' his lip for fear of waking him up and starting all over.

Amazingly he slept great during the night and woke up almost back to 100%.  Asher is still under the weather, but like I said, these days a 2 year old with a tiny cold is something I can live with.

Plus he isn't doing all that bad- still able to build a farm at breakfast.

Snuggle bunny kicks the cold!

Mondays are Attitude Days

Yesterday was a fun day but Asher was definitely feeling like throwing a lot of attitude my way.  I think we kept Ben entertained at work with the pictures of our day...

Morning painting and PB&J time.

Afternoon puddle soak.

Tool Belt Time (after puddle soak time, hence, no clothes).

Teaching Sullivan about Tool Belts.

Sitting in the chair like a boss.  Those aren't "I'm mad" arms, those are "I'm the boss" arms.

Don't let him fool you, that's a Princess Sofia coloring book he is so seriously studying there...

Zoo Day

It was a perfect morning for the zoo.

Checking out the alligators.

...pretty sure they caught this guy at the park by our house.

Ben pointed out that the jaguar (who looked really hungry by the way) was hanging out where the fence was patched.  This made us nervous.  This kitty clearly has a plan.

On the zoo train!

Sullivan's first zoo trip and first time on a train.

Caleb!  DINGO!

Choo choo!

Gorilla friend.
