The boys experienced their first state park camping trip this weekend. There was a quick period of adjustment (turns out these children are very used to comfort) but it was a huge success!
Frontenac State Park
The shortest adventure ever... ten steps down this .7 mile hike to a secluded beach and we were swarmed and eaten alive by mosquitos. Turned right back around and walked out. Luckily, we found a different beach a mile down the road.
A blissful scene after a bit of a conflict with an unruly 8-year-old. It was fine.
Post swimming hike.
Post hike soccer.
Post swim//hike//soccer downtown. Asher is passed out in the tent.
Sully found a headlamp. And put it on terminator mode.
….wheeeeeeere's Sully?
Cast iron biscuits and gravy (literally two minutes before getting hit by a huge storm).
You guys are amazing- conditions were extreme! Good work!
