Good morning world!
Last night we were up every 30 to 40 minutes with Asher as he battled his first cold.
This morning he had a fever and was unable to nap. So we consulted our pediatrician,
loaded him up on tylenol, and then began a 2 hour long driving adventure with one goal: get the baby to sleep.
First things first: Mama needed coffee.
It was in the Starbucks drive thru that I saw the one person on this planet who needed coffee more than me this morning. When they pulled up to the speaker, their trunk opened, which tells me instead of pushing the button to roll down their window they popped their trunk.
Perhaps they have a teething, sick baby at home?
Thing 2: Head towards the part of the city that I love. If Ben and I settle down here, this is where we shall live.
Thing 3: How does an exhausted mom stay awake while she drives around listening to the Civil Wars, trying to lull her baby to sleep? Takes a bunch of pictures of pretty trees with her cell phone and tries to find our future home :)
