Holly Jolly Christmas!

We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas and that New Years Eve is treating you well!

We spent Christmas in Texas with my mom, Hilary, & Josiah and couldn't have asked for a better holiday (with one exception-- if mom could have not gotten the flu that would have been better!).

We found out on our drive over that mom had confirmed influenza and were advised by Asher's doctor not to have close contact until she had finished her Tamiflu course.  So we ended up in a hotel for a couple of extra days just to play it safe, but it didn't take away from the amazing time that we had with our family.

Our family had a challenging year, 2014 presented more back to back heartache and hurdles than we could have ever expected.  But we ended it right.  I'm so glad that we were able to be where we were, with the loved ones we were with, to kick off 2015 on the right foot.  Thank you mom & Hilary for a wonderful Christmas.   And thank you so much Mallory for letting Josiah come spend Christmas with his cousin, they really loved being together for the holiday.

All dressed up and ready to head over to his Grandmas house for presents!

Mom knew immediately what was happening...Asher picked a pile of Josiah's presents to sit on...then pooped.

Such a terrible problem to have.... the crab legs were too big.  Yum.

Texas!

We are here!   We had a really enjoyable drive to Texas (not being sarcastic) with only one episode of car sickness (Harlan).  We stopped at a roadside smoke shop and bought jerky, packed a cooler full of snacks and a basket full of Asher toys (most of them wrapped so that he could unwrap them- kills about three minutes right there!), and took a lot of breaks for Ash and Har to run around and stretch their legs.  We made it about 8 hours the first day before stopping for the night, and then finished the trip yesterday.
