Sprinkler = Best. Toy. Ever.

For $12 we will be able to keep Asher occupied for at least the next 3 weeks.  At least.

Perk?  He can push it like the swiffer.

We finally made him stop once we realized he was shivering and freezing cold.  After drying him off and putting him in dry clothes he sprinted back outside to look for his friend.  He was absolutely devastated when the sprinkler was nowhere to be found.

Our new favorite game is to record Asher seeing himself in the phone camera.  He just stands there and makes weird faces at the mystery baby looking back at him.

Wait a minute, I do NOT trust that baby looking at me.

Baby Got Beat

This is Asher's music preferences in a nutshell.  Listening to country, kid doesn't bat an eyelash or bop his head once.  As soon as Sam Smith and a heavy beat come on, he is ecstatic and wants to dance.

I love my musical baby.  And I love that like his mama, he can't resist a soulful tune.

Sunday Funday

Those who know me well know that the only thing that I have liked about the Vikings in the last 29 years has been Chris Kluwe.  But today our friends invited us over to watch the game, which was an incredibly thoughtful invitation as they know we are hoping to get back to the Midwest.  For the first time in over 4 years, I wore the Vikings t-shirt that Ben bought me for my first gift when we were dating.  

But I had to send a picture to Michelle saying- "This is happening". 

Within 30 seconds I got this picture back.

Taking a game break to check out the Millers awesome grape vines.

Will you look at the looks these two kids are giving their parents.  My goodness.

 Asher was laying on the ground watching the game when Payson tackled him and gave him an epic hug.  I think Asher got about 50 hugs during our time there.  So it begins.

Renae and Kylar came over for dinner so that Ben could talk to Kylar about schools and physics.  Lucky for Asher and I, who were not so relevant to the conversation, Renae brought pumpkin bars.  Those kept us busy.

Family Fun Day

What's better than Mommy + Asher happy place days?  Family happy place days.  It was a balmy 54 degrees when we arrived at the botanical garden this morning.  A perfect fall morning.

After warbling back and forth with the turkey, Asher decided to check out the chickens.  From a safe distance.

Still could not keep him from plopping a foot right in the middle of the stream.

Pulling a Sheldon.  Asher spent ten minutes backing up to flat rocks and sitting on them until he found his spot.
