Successful Surgery

Surgery went very well on Friday.  As always, we were so happy with Children's Saint Paul, and Sullivan was the world's best patient.

Hanging out ahead of surgery... so sleepy already at 8:00 a.m. (with no drugs on board)

Sharing mom's gear for going back into the OR suite.

Hanging out in the PACU after the procedure was done.

Little fever...little reaction to the meds...big tomato :)

And then Sully snuggled for the rest of the day....

...and sometimes couldn't quite make it to a lap.

Meanwhile... the Nathan family adopted Asher for the day and he had an awesome time :)

Both boys winking at shoppers in Target.  Fantastic.  :)

Surgery Eve

Sully has surgery tomorrow, and while we are so excited for him to finally feel good, knowing that your child is going under general anesthesia just sucks.  I have been counting down to tomorrow for a long time, but now I'm counting down to tomorrow night when all is said and done and Sully is resting and on the brink of being a new kid.

Cleared for surgery... but feeling pretty terrible.

Loves his blankie :)

Surgery eve makes me reminisce the past surgeries....

Asher's first surgery at 13 months.

Asher's second surgery at 18 months.

Sully's first surgery at 13 months.

The Ever Fabulous Asher Olson... and his slightly mellower brother

I took the boys to the zoo last weekend.  Asher had to accessorize with moms gloves and his scarf.  Sully accessorized with his blankie and paci.

Stepping up his game.

Nemeses (is that the plural of nemisis?)

Checking out monkeys.

The most beautiful tiny human.

Things That Make Me Warm & Fuzzy.

Picnic dinners at the park.

Superhero Care Packages.  Because sometimes, she just knows when you need one.

Batman & Robin'ing the Arts & Crafts projects that came in the care package.

Dogfish Head being distributed in Minnesota.
70 degree days that let you grill and eat dinner on the patio.

Backyard get togethers.

When my hat gets hijacked, and looks better on him.

In a nut shell...

Why wouldn't Asher have a speck of star glitter on his cheek?
That pretty much sums him up :)
