Asher is done with first grade. He was a trooper getting through the end of the school year under the given circumstances, and is very excited to be a second grader; which he reports is 'a magical place with no rules where no one makes you clean up'. We'll let him hang on to that dream for the summer,

We're all okay.
It has been a hard few weeks in Saint Paul. COVID, plus a police murder, plus the surfacing of generational inequities and structural violence -- there is a lot to be hurting about right now.
And I'm thankful for moments of joy and hope.

That time Sully left his football gloves in Mankato... and Grandpa courriered them right up to the cities so that he didn't have to sleep without them.
